Early on, we bought bulk soil and filled our own pots, but labor costs ate up whatever savings we may have had by buying bulk. We have been using Hsu's rice hull potting soil mix for the past few years now. We have found it an excellent potting soil for our 50 and 72 cell trays as well as our larger 2" and 4" pots. Our germination rates increased markedly since using this potting soil due to its consistent water retention and blend. We would definitely recommend using the rice hull mix and have enjoyed working with Hsu over the years.
