Come see real live raptors up close and learn how to protect wildlife in Wisconsin. This ticket is for a 1-hour educational program presented by Raptor Education Group, Inc. (REGI).

What is REGI?

REGI is a nonprofit that helps injured or orphaned native birds. They rescue birds, care for them, and release them back into the wild when they are healthy. They also teach people how to live safely with wildlife.

REGI was founded in 1990 and now helps 800 to over 1,000 birds each year. They teach hundreds of people through education programs.

What you’ll learn

REGI will bring live raptors. You’ll learn:

• How to tell the difference between owls, hawks, and falcons
• What makes a raptor special: talons, beaks, eyesight, and hearing
• What they eat, how they hunt, and why they matter in the food chain
• The biggest dangers raptors face (like pesticides and human impact) and how you can help
• What to do if you find an injured bird or a baby bird on the ground
